Ali is Training for a Cure!!

I DID IT!!!!
After three and a half months of hard training, I survived the Pacific Grove Triathlon this past Saturday, September 14, 2002!
The hundreds of miles of training, gallons of sweat, and Friday and Saturday nights sacrificed were well worth the reward of the triathlon. It was such a wonderful experience, but before I get into the details of the race, I wanted to send out a HUGE “Thank You!” to the people who helped make it such a wonderful race- my fan club! So thank you to my mom, my dad, my uncle John, my cousin Jojo, my best friend Jessica, my good friend Anthony, and Jojo’s dog Porter, for making the trek down to Pacific Grove and for keeping me going on the course. You have no idea how much it meant to me to have you there and to pass your cheering and smiling faces on the many loops. Thank you!!!
And thank you to all of you who supported me, from the generous donations, to the “good luck” phone calls. Although I was the one out on the course this past weekend, this entire journey has certainly been a team effort, and I could not have done it without all of your support.
